Language of Magick: Tarot
We will delve into the symbolic imagery of the classic Tarot deck.
What does it mean when one reads the Tarot? What are we reading and how does it compare to other instruments of divination like the Runes or the I Ching?
What are we to make of the diversity of human experience inherent within the Major Arcana? How do we discern the various initiatory journeys symbolized in the Minor Arcana?
Join us for a six week exploration of the language of magick within the Tarot.
Language of Mystery: Story, Dream, Myth, and Trance
In this 6-week course, we explore the symbolic, imaginative language of our personal and cultural unconsciousness, and begin to discover our individual journey through the Mysteries. We will work within our personal dream landscapes, learn how to access our unconscious selves through trance, and use the symbology from folklore and mythology to create our own transformative myths. Together we will co-create and enact a collective myth to bring our own stories to life.
Language of Mystery
In this 3-week course, we will delve in to the core mysteries of the elements within the wheel of eternity and how they relate to the elements within the realm of time. We will explore the dynamic polarities of time and eternity, force and form, the ethereal and the manifest, among others.
This course assumes a working knowledge of the elements of air, earth, fire, and water.
Language of Magick
In this 3-week course, we will dip into the common, underlying language of the "n-fold" mysteries -- mysteries of unity, duality, threefold and fourfold paths, as well as the power behind fives, sevens, and tens. In many Wiccan and Pagan traditions, these numbers are important foundations to the work we do and the magick we create.
Each mystery will be explored via several systems (such as the sevens in chakras, the elder planets, and alchemy) if possible to illustrate the way the core mystery expresses itself in multiple ways.
Elemental Mysteries
This 6-week course introduces the foundations and offers a deep understanding of working with the four ancient elements of Air, Fire, Water & Earth. We will explore their correspondences, selected skills, tools, and lore.
This class is primarily hands-on with a brief lecture followed by exercises working with each element and its energy. We will do all the simple correspondences on the first night and then build experience and skill for four weeks -- each night focusing on a specific element. On the last night, we will create and perform a single ritual to integrate the work of the entire course.
