We are living in a world where it seems as if many are finally awakening to the economic and environmental devastation and turmoil that surrounds us. Some are awakening to a sense of fear, others to a sense of rage. How do we navigate this new information, this new awareness, this new terrain?
In this series, we are going to examine the theme of awakening through the discussion of two films and one fairy tale. In "The Matrix," Neo discovers the true nature of his world and himself. Briar Rose awakens to a world that has been literally unchanged over the course of a hundred years. In "Blade Runner," Rick Deckard, Rachel, and Roy Batty awaken to differing realities of life.
In each session, we will apply what we have discovered to real-world issues. It is highly recommended that you watch (or re-watch) the films and read the story of Briar Rose.
Temple service days are days of celebration, work, prayer, food, and fellowship.
We usually work on projects such as decorating the temple, labyrinth repair, or herb planting.
Reflections students and alumni, OEM initiates, Connect DC regulars and the general public are encouraged to join in with the fun.

In this course, we will dip into the common, underlying language of the "n-fold" mysteries -- mysteries of unity, duality, threefold and fourfold paths, as well as the power behind fives, sevens, and tens. In many Wiccan and Pagan traditions, these numbers are important foundations to the work we do and the magick we create.
Each mystery will be explored via several systems (such as the sevens in chakras, the elder planets, and alchemy) if possible to illustrate the way the core mystery expresses itself in multiple ways.
In this course, we will delve in to the core mysteries of the elements within the wheel of eternity and how they relate to the elements within the realm of time. We will explore the dynamic polarities of time and eternity, force and form, the ethereal and the manifest, among others.
This course assumes a working knowledge of the elements of air, earth, fire, and water.
