Ritual Voice and Rhythm

Theatrical arts have their ancient source within ritual forms. The two share many artifacts including pacing, placement and staging. This class will delve into two of the artifacts -- the human voice and underlying power of rhythm -- within ritual. We will review how to warm up, project, and shape our voices. We will review how to use, sustain and modulate rhythms using both drum and voice. But always our intention will be on improving our ritual skills and enhancing our rituals.
